Set at the foot of the hill upon which our main building stands, bordered by a forest and stream, The Meadow offers panoramic views of the Hudson Valley’s natural splendor. The pastoral scenery lends itself perfectly to outdoor ceremonies and wedding photography.

Dine under a classic reception tent, mingle under the stars of a country sky as night falls, and enjoy live entertainment and reception speeches from our outdoor bandstand stage.

Extras? We got ‘em. Our outdoor “smoke shack” enhances our catering operation for those seeking an authentic barbecue experience. Our on-premises paddock houses two gorgeous, friendly horses that are happy to be available for wedding photos. With such an expansive space, options abound to customize your outdoor event.

Our venue even shines in the rain. In the event of inclement weather, ceremonies and receptions can instantly be relocated to our indoor space.

The main Outpost BBQ building features a rustic, vintage feel with modern design touches. Our reception room can accommodate up to 100 guests, with adaptable table and seating provided. The space is outfitted with a large dancefloor facing a generous stage equipped with a powerful sound system. The stage is ready for your DJ, live band, and even karaoke on our state-of-the-art system. Ample lighting and large windows with gorgeous views create an enchanting atmosphere for guests to dine and dance. The indoor space expands outside as well, with an outdoor cocktail area and picnic tables so the party can move outside at the drop of a garter belt.

Our indoor wedding venue is fully heated and air conditioned and ADA-accessible. Multiple bathrooms are available, WiFi is provided, and large flat screen TVs can be used to display photos, slideshows and video.

Attached to the reception hall is a slightly smaller room that houses our restaurant operation with full commercial kitchen – you are welcome to take it over to expand the indoor space for your guests, or leave it behind-the-scenes, creating a more intimate atmosphere.

For a dining experience your guests will rave about, Outpost BBQ features a full-service, on-premises catering operation staffed by excellent chefs and food service experts. Choose from our delectable, top-reviewed menu of barbecue favorites or have us customize a menu to your exact specifications. Or, pick your own caterer and have them utilize the kitchen to deliver the freshest food possible.

Our restaurant area features a bar with two beer taps and plenty of refrigerated units to store beer, wine and other beverages. And if you’re looking for a post-dinner perk to keep guests satisfied, may we recommend taking advantage of our soft-serve ice cream machine?

Outpost BBQ is located in the quaint hamlet of Kerhonkson in Ulster County – the heart of the Hudson Valley – about two hours north of New York City. For guests who like to wander and explore, we’re surrounded by other charming upstate destinations like Kingston, New Paltz, Rosendale, Ellenville, Woodstock and High Falls. Amenities abound – our location is less than 45 minutes away from countless hiking, biking and walking trails, Resorts World casino, gorgeous country golf courses, shopping districts, farmer’s markets, swimming holes, and more.

Our large parking lot can accommodate up to 100 cars, with parking attendants provided. Set right off Rt. 209, our location is easy to find and access. Our venue is pet-friendly, with lots of space to roam.

Every LIttle Detail, our experienced in-house wedding coordinator, can handle every aspect of your special day, or connect with a coordinator of your choice to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Besides offering on-premises catering and a full commercial kitchen for hired caterers, we are happy to manage as many aspects of your wedding plans as you’d like, from tent and bathroom rentals to DJs, live entertainment, parking attendants, and transportation. Of course, we can accommodate any wedding service providers you’d like to bring on-site.
